Welcome to my *gestures around*

About the Dragon

I am InfiniteFluffDerg. Some people call me Derg, IFD, or Mom Derg. Sometimes I go by Jesse. Sometimes it’s Alex.

Similarly though I identify as male I use he, she, and they as pronouns. He and They are probably the most accurate for me!

I usually play a lot of videos game, analyze media and characters, and make really long posts.

What to Expect

My blog or *gestures to some object that fell over* is mostly reblogs. I like reblogging art of friends or of things I like, humor is a big winner for me too.  I also engage in left-leaning politics.

Oh, and if you haven’t figured it out by yet, I’m publicly a fatfur so expect a lot of Big in what shows up here. I also might reblog real life big bodies too because big is good. Typically I keep genitalia or explicitly sexual material to a minimum as I’m less interested in it. Though that’s not all the time.

I also do art! Art is good but something that’ll show up rarely. The reason I don’t have a separate blog for it is managing multiple blogs is more brainpower than I want to do. Maybe that’ll change one day, that day isn’t today.

Tapping the Glass

If you’re interested in saying hi or whatever, you’re welcome to shoot me a message. Or alternatively reply or reblog with comments! I already have a lot of friends and usually have difficulty chatting with all of them normally so I can’t promise responses. But I promise I always love seeing comments from others! (alright there are a few exceptions but you know who you are)

My Tags

So I’m trying to get a little better about tagging things but my posts typically will get these tags…

#long winded - Self explanatory, I talk at length about stuff. I have a lot of opinions about games.

#my art - Stuff I’ve drawn since my return to Tumblr, I’m largely a digital artist now.

#drawing - Stuff I’ve drawn prior to 2018, 98% is traditional work. I’d like to think I’ve improved since then??

#whale weekly - I’m participating in this long running Moby Dick thing! Should be nifty.

And if I start doing others on this *gestures to bright light outside that’s making a sound so loud the world shakes* you’ll see them here.

I’m tired of advertising. All of it. I don’t want any ads even for things I like. Even if I would 100% buy it. It’s INSANE that we just accept that people can throw a business flier in our face at any time of day in any setting. Aren’t you mad? Don’t you just want to go apeshit?

I really don’t understand the folks that will complain “gaming is dead” in response to the mainstream “AAA” space being a shitshow for the past however long. Like have you not even glanced at the indie space.

Like I’m not kidding when I say abandoning the mainstream gaming space in favor for the far cheaper and overall more fulfilling indie games is one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Gaming is in fact thriving if you don’t have your eyes glued to E3s or E3-adjacent presentations.

On top of this it’s just great to go back to really old games that you haven’t played since they were new, especially for games that have never been re-released once you take matters into your own hands (Pic definitely unrelated)

If you don’t know what to play and like story driven games then here’s a few reccomendations:

Oneshot (this is so fucking good PLAY IT)(If you want to)

Backfirewall

Undertale

Tacoma

+ So many more that I can’t remember of the top of my head

Oh yeah, just clarifying that the piracy comment was definitely directed towards big-corporate-owned games. Like if somebody just straight up doesn’t have the disposable income for even indie games, understandable, but if you’re able, definitely buy indie games. They’re the ones that deserve (and need) that money most.
